eStatements FAQs
What is an eStatement?
eStatements are electronic versions of paper statements, accessible via Internet Banking.
What is the cost of eStatements?
eStatements are FREE!
What are the benefits of eStatements?
In addition to the availability of eStatements at no charge, you will find that your eStatements are virtually identical to your paper statements. Some of the other benefits include:
- With eStatements and an active checking account (3 or more monetary transactions each month) your Smart Savings Account earns 5% APY on balances up to $500 and over $500.01 the regular savings rate.
- Your eStatements will be available to you days sooner than paper statements.
- You can access and print 18 months or more of eStatements.
- Your account information is password protected and secure.
- Shredding paper statements will become a thing of the past.
- eStatements are accessible while traveling, as long as you have Internet access.
- eStatements help us reduce printing and mailing costs, which will benefit you as a member-owner of the Credit Union.
Will I continue to receive paper statements if I sign up for eStatements?
Paper statements will no longer be mailed once you've signed up for eStatements. eStatements help the Credit Union reduce printing and mailing expenses, which will benefit you as a member-owner of the Credit Union.
What if I need a printed copy of my statement?
You may either print your eStatement from your browser or order a paper statement. To order a paper statement, send us an email from within Internet Banking or call our Member Service Specialists at 800-772-4000 or 818-772-4000. If your statement is not currently available in electronic format, there will be no charge. If it is currently available to you in electronic format, there is a $5.00 charge.
Is there a fee if I want to keep getting my paper statements instead of eStatements?
There is currently no fee to receive paper statements, but you may not receive both paper statements and eStatements.
How often will I get my eStatement?
eStatements cycle at the same frequency as paper statements.
When will I get my eStatement?
eStatements are generally available by the 3rd business day of the month. You will have access to your eStatement days sooner than you would a paper statement arriving through the U.S. mail.
How will I know when my eStatement is available?
We will send an email notification to the email address on file letting you know that your eStatement is available.
Can I receive the email notification for my eStatement at more than one email address?
At this time we are able to send the email notification to only one email address.
What if my email box is full, I have blocked email from premier.org or Premier America does not have my current email address on file?
We are required by law to provide you with notification that your eStatement is available. If the email notification we send to you is returned as "Undeliverable," for whatever reason, then we will attempt to notify you via U.S. mail. Please be aware that we may also assess a "Courtesy Paper Notice Fee" of $1.50 for each month we must send a paper notification; therefore, we urge you to provide us with an active and valid email address. Just log in to Internet Banking and enter your email address on the "User Options" screen.
Where is my eStatement located?
You can access and view your eStatement by logging into Internet Banking and clicking on the "eStatements" button. New to Internet Banking? No sign-up is required - just enter your Member ID and PIN!
How long will my eStatements be available to view within Internet Banking?
eStatements will be available for a rolling period of 18 months or more.
Are eStatements secure?
eStatements are secure because they are only available within Internet Banking. You will need your Member ID and PIN to log into Internet Banking. For more information on Internet Banking security, please visit Internet Banking Guarantee and visit Security.
Will you ever email my eStatement to me?
To ensure the privacy, security and confidentiality of your account information, we do not email the actual eStatement. We will only send you a notification that it is available.
How do I enroll for eStatements?
Log in to Internet Banking then click on "eStatements". You will be asked to read and agree to the terms and conditions.
What if I want to get eStatements for more than one account?
For each account, log in to Internet Banking under that Member ID and provide a valid and active email address, via "User Options" within Internet Banking. Then, you can enroll for eStatements by clicking on the "eStatements" button.
You can de-enroll from eStatements via Internet Banking by clicking on the "eStatements" button and following the prompts. Be sure to save or print a copy of your eStatements for your records because once you are de-enrolled, you will no longer have access to your archived eStatements. If you change your mind and decide to re-enroll for eStatements at any time, your archived eStatements will once again be available.
Does the eStatement have the same information as Internet Banking?
The eStatement is not meant to replace or be a substitute for the information in Internet Banking. Just like your paper statement, the eStatement will include all account activity and transactions that occurred on your account during the previous calendar month.
How do I view checks cleared from my eStatement?
Although you can't view check images directly from your eStatement, images of cleared checks can still be viewed for up to 2 years within Internet Banking, by clicking on the check number links in your "Account History" detail of the "Account Access/Account Summary" page.
I already check my account online using Internet Banking. I don't want/need paper statements or eStatements. Please stop sending me either one.
We are required by law to provide a periodic statement with applicable regulatory disclosures. When you are enrolled for eStatements, we can stop sending you paper statements.
How do I make a payment?
Make your payment electronically by using either the Account Transfers or Bill Pay features within Internet Banking.
TROUBLESHOOTING
I signed up for eStatements, but I have not received an email notice yet. Why?
Log in to Internet Banking and verify, on the "User Options" screen, that the email address shown is valid and active. You can then expect to receive an email notification generally available by the 3rd business day of the following month.
I changed my email address. How do I make sure I will be notified when my eStatement is ready?
Log in to Internet Banking and provide your new email address on the "User Options" screen.
I have a question/dispute about a transaction on my eStatement. What do I do?
Write us at the address shown on the front of your statement or telephone us as soon as you think your statement is wrong, or if you need more information about a transaction on the statement or receipt. We must hear from you no later than 60 days after we made available to you the first statement on which the error or problem appeared. In your letter, you should give us the following information:
- Your name and account number.
- The dollar amount and date of the suspected error.
- Describe the error or the transaction you are unsure about, and explain why you believe there is an error or why you need more information.
When I click on the eStatement link in Internet Banking, I get an error message (nothing happens; I can't view the screen). What's wrong?
You will need to ensure that you are using a recommended Internet browser.
My statement doesn't print correctly (page breaks are wrong or extra blank pages are included).
Different internet browsers (eg., Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome) and browser versions will affect how statements will print, and such browser limitations are not within our control.
